To put it in simple terms: for every good thing you do you recieve
something good, and for every bad thing you do you recieve something
bad.
Simple enough, right?
Well, Karma is one of the biggest parts of Hinduism. They believe that
you will be reborn until you reach enlightenment, or perfect
understanding of, well, everything. And when you are reborn, your
karma decides what kind of family/ body you are born into. If you have
good karma, and have done lots of good things then you might be born
into a wealthy family. But if you have bad karma and have done lots of
bad things then you might be reborn a peasant or even a beetle. And
this cycle of rebirth continues until you reach enlightenment. *Which
doesn't make any sense to me, how are there new people/ an increase in
population if the same people are coming back? And why can't anyone
seem to remember a previous life?*
The Hindus also have one God consisted of many Gods. They have
thousands of Gods that all make up their one big God, Brahman. And
according to Hinduism, once you have that one final death after
enlightenment you become part of Brahman.
So where am I going with this? Well, their God, Brahman, is said to
have this perfect karma. They say he's never done anything wrong or
bad, so nothing bad will ever happen to him.
But then you think, Jesus never did anything wrong either. He lived a
perfect, sinless life and look how he ended up. He had a 'perfect
karma' too, but something terrible happened to him. He was murdered
for no reason other than telling the truth.
So guys, karma isn't real. Sure, you may have something good happen to
you after doing right by someone else, but it isn't because of karma.
If anything, it's because of God's love.

Hey! I'm glad you did some research regarding karma. The veracity of Karma is still under clouds. But the Holy book of Hindus that is 'Bhagwad Geeta' has emphasized on this not once but n number of times. Not just in Hinduism, i guess there are other religions like Kaballism too that support The karma theory.
There's much more to Karma than you have mentioned.
As far as the previous birth thing goes, yes it is possible to travel and recall your previous birth through past life aggression. I am sure you must have heard about "Many lives, many masters" by Dr. Brian Weiss.I seriously recommend that book.Previously This karma thing made no sense to me too but my perspective changed after reading this book.
God Brahamn had Avataars or 'incarnations' on earth just like Jesus. They too had their share of sufferings on earth. You see all the religions have the same base and foundations.
As you said Karma whether good or bad is nothing but God's love.

Faith, thanks for the research and your take is exactly what I got from researching this in my Humanities class in 10th grade. The seeing that there are so many more people in the country of India and Pakistan each year must put an end to the past lives hype...and yes, I had noticed that it didn't match up when I was in high school and NOT a Christian.
The Kabal uless there is a New religion comes from the "secrets" of the Jewish religion, that does not mean that most Jews believe that this is correct thinking but that there is/was a sect that thought that they had the answers and were putting themselves on God's level. Satan was so happy that he led them to this thinking...it's kind of like the tower of Babel and didn't go anywhere until recently Madonna and other people with no hope in their lives were looking for something to complete them. It's so sad to think that one can be on the same level as their Creator...ahhh...well...
Christianity does have something a little close to karma, which is found in the gospel parallels. We reap what we sow, and later it is said that is we sow to the Spirit that we reap life everlasting and if we sow to the flesh we reap death. Or in other words, 'what goes around comes around'...and that seems to be a constant with God. Also notice in Micah that we cannot outgive God because whatever we give God gives back many fold. Those are truths that have been experienced in my life over and over...
Sorry, my concordance is downstairs and I don't think I will be back up here tonight since I stood so long yesterday, but if you look for key words "sow and reap" in Matthew, Mark and Luke (I think) you will find that from the Sermon on the Mount. As for the one in Micah;-> I believe that it is in chapter 3 but the key word could be "tithe or storehouse."
